Carl Walsh has been appointed as a Scientific Adviser to the Norges Bank, the central bank of Norway, for a three year period, 2014 until 2016.
The Norges Bank has been one of the leaders in developing and implementing best practices for inflation targeting central banks. They are currently launching a major research project on flexible inflation targeting and monetary policy designed to evaluate their current policy framework. Walsh will be advising this project as one of three international Scientific Advisers to the Bank.
