Whether you are exploring career interests, looking for internships/jobs, enhancing your resume/cover letter, or preparing for interviews, Career Coach Karen Lin, from the UCSC Career Center will be here to share tips and discuss strategies with you!

    Karen graduated from the University of Michigan, Ann Arbor with a master's degree in higher education. Prior to joining UCSC, she gained eight years of work experience in graduate business school admission consulting and she is familiar with accounting, finance, and consulting industries.

    You've converted your curriculum vitae to a resume, you've attended a resume-building workshop, you've had peers and instructors review and edit it. Have one more person, a Career Center career coach, review it before you present it to prospective employers at the job fairs and elsewhere.

    No appointment needed. Maximum 15 minutes for each. First come, first served. Open to economics undergraduate and graduate students.

    You are about to enter the job market, now it's time to develop and spruce up your online presence to help you find employers and make a favorable inpression on prospective employers. Not so sure of its importance? Come to the talk and hear what Social Media Expert Melissa De Witte has to say.

    Open to economics students. Advance registration required by Tues, Jan 23.

    Melissa De Witte is a media expert! She has worked in and with TV, PR, online publishing, marketing and advertising, and currently handles digital and social media for the Social Science Division at UC Santa Cruz. Melissa holds an M.A. in media, culture & communication from New York University and a B.Sc. in sociology from the London School of Economics.

    The Graduate Division hosts this event in preparation for the March 9 Graduate Student Job Fair. Event is open to UCSC graduate students by pre-registration.


  • International Student Workshop: Hiring Legalities for International Graduate Students

    WEDNESDAY, MARCH 7, 12:00 noon - 1:30 p.m. CERVANTES AND VELASQUEZ CONFERENCE ROOM

    The Graduate Division and Global Engagement Unit will co-sponsor this event presented by David Ware, Immigration Attorney for UCSC. Event is open to UCSC international graduate students by pre-registration. Lunch will be provided.


  • Graduate Student Internship and Job Fair

    FRIDAY, MARCH 9, 2018, 1:00 - 5:00 p.m. MULTIPURPOSE ROOM AT COLLEGES 9 & John R. Lewis College
